Presence of God in us as per distributed computing architecture

Prerequisites: It is assumed that the reader of this article is aware of the basic networking terminology like Server, Terminal, LAN, Network ports, etc. and believe in God. Purpose: To distribute the entire application into different inter-related components connected and talking through common standard protocols (rules of communication). These components can be in a LAN (Local area Network) or WAN (Wide Area Network) but uses the same standard protocols and network ports. Relation: For instance, If we were dumb terminals who have the basic processing functionality. And the server is waheguru ji (God). Description: There are mainly two ways how the server is able to know the present status of the terminal. 1) The terminal keeps on sending a request of update to the server and thus sending its present status. 2) The server puts a small server-component in the terminal that has the rights to access whatever data is required by the server from the term...

Kya Rey Mammu

Importance of the True Guru Just wanted to share an instance. It all happen after I watched a Movie that everyone would be aware of “Lagey Raho Munna Bhai” (Nicely done movie). The most important thing it made me realized was that God (Waheguru Ji) has blessed us with everything. We all are well equipped with all the required equipments needed to reach our ultimate Goal (To merge into him). As the movie shows even a bad guy, who has only done kidnappings, etc through out his life could follow the life of Mahatma Gandhi. This proves that he was sent with all those qualities and thinking abilities. His faith and belief in the teachings and principles of Mahatma Gandhi made him a perfect student. So, how important it is for us to have the love and blessings of a true Guru who can feed us with the right, true teachings and principles for us to reach our ultimate goal. Now, I understand that why our Guru said: Aisey gur ko bal bal jayiae, aap mukat mohey tarey ( Meaning: I am sacrifice to ...

Are we really Santa or Banta Singh?

Right from the beginning of Sikhism, we have come out with many beautiful concepts, most of which are the following: Langar Seva (Open food service for everyone, regardless of the cast, creed, social status, etc) – Guru Nanak Dev Ji All humans are one. (Manas ki jaat sabh eke pehchhan) – Guru Gobind Singh Concept of Miri Piri – Guru Hargobind ji Importance on the status of mind not the age - Guru Harkrishan Sahib Saint Soldier – Guru Gobind Singh ji Khandey ki pahaul – Guru Gobind Singh ji Red cross - Bhai Kania ji Sri Guru Granth Sahib (Includes hymns of not only the Sikh Gurus, but also many other blessed souls) And many more. The list is unending. :-) I hope every Sikh would know about these concepts. I consider them as a result of the thinking of the most positive minds. Each of them is unique in its own self and gives us a new dimension to the word Sikh. These concepts kept on coming after time to time and strengthened the defini...

True Guru Ka Sikh of 2008

Few days back I realized that I am actually a true Sikh of the Guru after listening to the following shabad: “Har mangal gao sakhi, Greh mandar baniya” Here, Guru Sahib wants us to make our inner consciousness (our soul) as a temple. In mathematical term it can be put it as: Inner Consciousness = Temple (Gurdwara) To be a true Guru ka Sikh, all I had to prove was L.H.S = R.H.S. So, rather than working on L.H.S, I started working on the R.H.S to break down to L.H.S. And guess what I didn’t need to a lot of calculations for that. When I observed closely, I realized that I have already degraded the RHS to be equivalent to LHS. When I go to the Gurdwara, most of the time I sit chit chatting with my friends that I do wherever I am and love doing it. If I am sitting inside the Gurdwara, the Guru’s bani don’t seem to affect me as I have never listened to it. I am happier in watching what others are doing, how much offering people are getting and calculating how much money the Gurdwara Prab...
